David LaManna
David LaManna is a business owner, speaker
and trainer. He owns and operates Thomaston Insurance, an
independent insurance agency with offices in Thomaston,
Waterbury and an in-home office in Woodbury. His agency serves
over 4000 business and personal clients throughout Connecticut.
David has earned both the prestigious CIC (Certified Insurance
Counselor) and AAI (Accredited Advisor in Insurance)
designations. He is a past president of both the Professional
Insurance Agents of CT and the Connecticut Young Insurance
Professionals.
David is also an
accomplished speaker who has presented hundreds of workshops
and presentations on communication, leadership and customer
service skills. He is a highly-regarded keynote speaker known
for results-producing motivational talks. David provides
personalized individual training in communication skills to
people and professionals in all walks of life. David has won
several Toastmaster speaking championships and has earned
acclaim from various organizations for his speaking skills.
David is an active
volunteer in his community having served as a literacy
volunteer, Lion’s Club member, United Way chairman and
Cancer society fundraiser. Currently, he serves as Chairman of
the Woodbury Methodist Church Council, as a Partner in
Education volunteer and on the Board of Directors for many
groups including the Clockwork Repertory Theatre, Thomaston
Education Enrichment Fund and Professional Insurance Agents.
David also lends his speaking skills to various charitable
organizations and has helped to raise over a million dollars
for area charities in his role as an auctioneer. David is also
well-known as a master story-reader and has enchanted children
of all ages for over 20 years with his dramatic readings of
children’s favorite stories.
